Sun damage can start to show just 10-15 years after the harm has already been done. That means we’re left with unwanted brown spots and darkly pigmented patches on those sun-exposed areas. The good news is, thanks to modern treatment options there’s no need to live with hyperpigmentation problems. Patients can safely say goodbye to pigmentation on the face, neck, chest, and hands.

Best Self Medical Arts offers several non-surgical alternatives for patients seeking to reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation. Depending on your individual needs and ultimate goals, you may be better suited for one of the following minimally-invasive procedures.

BBL™ BroadBand Light

BBL™ is an advanced form of Intense Pulsed Light therapy. Powerful yet gentle light wavelengths are delivered via a handpiece to target and break down darkly pigmented lesions. Over time, deeper hyperpigmentation gradually reabsorbs into the body while superficial pigmentation problems exfoliate away.

BroadBand™ Light treatments are quick, easy, and relatively pain-free. There is no downtime with the procedure and patients can expect to see initial results in just 5-7 days. A series of BBL™ treatments may be needed to achieve an optimal outcome for hyperpigmentation.

BroadBand Light & Halo-Pro Ablative Consultations Available

Halo-Pro Ablative

Halo-Pro uses ablative energy to resurface sun-damaged skin. The procedure is slightly more aggressive than BBL™ treatments making it ideal for patients with moderate to severe concerns. Pigmented lesions will darken within the first 24-hours and begin to flake off as cellular renewal takes effect.

Skin will appear smoother, clearer, and more youthful within 3-5 days. Continued improvement will occur upwards of 2-3 months as your body naturally produces more collagen. Halo-Pro Ablative is a limited downtime procedure. Patients may need 1-2 customized procedures to get the results they want.

What’s Right for Me?

Both BBL™ and Halo-Pro laser treatments can be customized for nearly all skin types, textures, and tones. Dr. Cheryl Geer will assess your concerns and determine which procedure is better for your individual needs at the time of your in-person consultation. She’ll then provide you with a personalized treatment plan to help you realize your short and long-term goals.

I had to wait a long time for the doctor, but once available, she gives me her full attention and does not rush the exam/appointment. I appreciate not being made to feel like a number. It’s a pleasant office and team.
