HALO non-ablative treatments can benefit both men and women. The most common treatment areas include the face, neck, hands, and chest. However, the procedure can effectively be utilized throughout the surface of the body.

Discuss your skincare needs with your clinician. You may choose to receive one or two aggressive treatments or multiple gentle treatments to achieve the same goal over a longer period of time. These results can be maintained with regular BBL HERO, resulting in progressive improvement over time.

This depends on whether or not it is a HALO Pro with partial ablation or a HALO without ablation. For the HALO without partial ablation, with a topical anesthetic and integrated cooling technology, patients typically experience very little discomfort. Most patients describe the treatment as a feeling of heat with occasional prickling sensations but are generally comfortable. After the treatment, most patients will continue to feel warm for an additional 30 to 60 minutes or slightly longer with deeper treatment levels.

For the HALO Pro with ablation, patients typically describe the discomfort as “like a sunburn”.

We apply a strong topical anesthetic ointment, have laughing gas, (nitrous oxide), oral medication, apply a cooling mask, PRP and cooling HCO mist immediately after.

Results from non-ablative resurfacing are gradual and progressive. Skin texture and pigmentation irregularities will fade over the course of several weeks. Continued improvement will occur for 3-6 months as increased levels of collagen and elastin are regenerated.

While some patients can achieve desired results with just one HALO session, others may need two or more treatments to meet their ultimate goals. Touch-up treatments can safely be done as necessary to prolong the outcome of your initial procedures.

Your HALO results can last for years, but you should keep your skin protected at all times. With each additional HALO treatment, you will experience continued improvement with healthier, more youthful-looking skin. The amount of downtime you’ll need varies based on the level of treatment you’ve chosen. Partially ablative laser sessions require little to no downtime. With the medium or aggressive setting, you can expect to take a 48 to 72-hour recovery. After your appointment, your skin will be red and if a strong treatment, may become swollen. These side effects dissipate over 2 to 7 days and can be covered with a mineral-based makeup after 48 hours as needed.
