O Shot Camarillo

What Exactly Is The O-Shot?

The O-Shot (Orgasm-Shot) is a medical treatment that rejuvenates the vaginal tissue using platelet-rich plasma (PRP). PRP is derived from your blood and contains growth factors that stimulate the growth of healthy tissue.  The O-Shot is especially beneficial for women experiencing sexual dysfunction, loss of sensation as well as urine loss or simply desiring to enhance normal sexual function.

When used for vaginal rejuvenation, the regenerative growth factors in PRP can improve issues such as decreased libido, urinary incontinence, vaginal laxity, vaginal dryness, and painful intercourse.

PRP has been used for over a decade in the field of Orthopedics. There is a large body of scientific evidence proving that it is both safe and effective.

What Is The O-Shot Procedure Like?

A small amount of blood is first drawn from your arm. The blood sample is processed in a centrifuge, where it is spun at high speed to isolate the platelets from the rest of the blood. After topical numbing, a very thin needle is then used to inject the PRP into the clitoris and upper vagina. Most women experience little to no discomfort. We have Nitrous Oxide, better known as “laughing gas”, available if desired which reduces anxiety. The platelets contain over 28 different types of growth factors which begin the process of stimulating new nerves, blood vessels and other tissue repair and regeneration.

You may experience some improvement in symptoms in the days immediately after the O-Shot. However, it can take up to 3 months to see the full effects because the new tissues take time to develop and grow. The results last for about one year.

Are There Side Effects with the O-Shot?

Some women experience a little spotting and mild bruising after the O-Shot, but these side-effects typically resolve within a few days. Thousands of women around the world have had the O-Shot treatment done in the last few years, and no adverse side-effects or complications have been reported to date.

The growth factors used for the procedure come from your own body and so there is no risk that you will have an allergic reaction to the PRP serum. Also, thousands of research papers have been published about PRP, and these studies have not identified any serious side-effects when PRP is injected into the body.

Before it became popular in the cosmetic world, PRP was used successfully for many years in sports medicine to enhance tissue healing.  This helped to accelerate healing and reduce recovery time for many famous professional athletes.

The O-Shot should only be administered by a qualified doctor with the necessary credentials, training and approval by the Cellular Medicine Association, which trains and certifies approved providers, including Dr. Geer. Dr. Geer is a Board Certified Physician and Surgeon specializing in Obstetrics, Gynecology as well as Cosmetic and Medical laser.
